SAFOD is the only recognised disability federation in Southern Africa for persons with disabilities, founded in 1986. Today, we link 16 national affiliates across all 16 SADC member states. Through them, we reach people with every type of disability, in cities, towns and rural areas.
We collaborate with 16 national affiliates, encompassing each of the 16 Member States of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
As the largest disability federation in Southern Africa, this expansive network connects us with individuals living with a diverse range of disabilities, reaching urban areas, towns, and remote rural communities across the region.
Through our affiliates’ dedicated efforts, we aim to provide support and resources tailored to these individuals’ unique needs, ensuring everyone has access to the opportunities they deserve.
