Volunteer with SAFOD
SAFOD is a non-profit organisation working across all 16 SADC Member States. We support national federations of Organisations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) to promote disability rights. We welcome volunteers and interns from anywhere in the world. You can contribute online or, if based in Gaborone, work directly at our Secretariat in Botswana.
Online Volunteer Roles
Social Media Campaigns
Run awareness campaigns on disability rights across Southern Africa. Help grow SAFOD's presence on platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Content Writing
Write and edit articles, news, and updates for our website and newsletters.
Funding Research
Research grant opportunities and help draft funding proposals.
Translation
Translate key documents into Portuguese, French, or other regional languages.
Research & Data
Support data collection and online research for SAFOD projects.
Design & Media
Produce accessible reports, infographics, or short videos.
Digital Visibility
Help national affiliates build their online presence and reach.
In-person volunteers at our Secretariat bring fresh ideas and add to our team's range of skills and experience.
Volunteering with SAFOD also offers you real experience in regional disability advocacy and non-profit work.
