Representatives from SAFOD participated in the Global network of civil society organisations for disaster reduction(GNDR) global summit hosted in Nairobi Kenya. The summit was held for three days, from the 20th to 22nd of February 2024.

This summit offered a dynamic space for a collaborative mission, aiming to empower at-risk communities to lead their own changes. By listening to the voices of communities most at risk, strengthening civil society organisations, and advocating for risk-informed development. This has enabled participation in decision-making processes, access to resources, protection of the environment, and reduced threat from future disasters.
