Frequent questions
What does SAFOD do?
We are a network of disability organisations across 16 SADC countries. We work on policy, rights, inclusion, and empowerment for persons with disabilities in Southern Africa.
Do you provide funding to individuals?
No. We work with member organisations and implement regional projects. We do not provide direct grants or funding to individuals.
How can I volunteer or work with SAFOD?
Check our Volunteer page. If you looking for jobs and consultancies, you can also check out our Careers and Consultancies pages for current opportunities. We announce positions through our website and social media channels.
Where can I find information about your projects?
Visit our Programmes and Projects pages. You can also read our annual reports in the publications sections as well as view project updates in the News section.
Can you help with disability-related issues in my country?
Contact your national disability federation first. Find them on our Affiliates page. They can provide local support and guidance.
How is SAFOD funded?
We receive support from development partners, foundations, and UN agencies. Our work focuses on regional advocacy, capacity building, and inclusive development.
Do you provide training or capacity building?
Yes. We offer training to affiliates and partners on disability rights, advocacy, inclusive policies, and organisational development.
