In June 2024, representatives from SAFOD participated in a joint 3 day learning visit (24th-28th) with representatives from ADRA, ZAFOD, MACODA, CARD and FEDOMA. This visit was hosted by REPSSI and FODPZ in Muzarabani district of Zimbabwe. The objective of the visit was to promote knowledge exchange, share best practices, case stories and generate greater commitment to support DiDRR and climate change adaptation among regional and national partners/stakeholders directly and indirectly involved in the project.
During the visit, participants visited demonstration plots which were developed by persons with disabilities, self help groups and disaster risk reduction committees in Dambakurima and Chadareka Wards.
Although the learning exchange was between partners, representatives from the department of civil protection (DCP), department of social development, rural district development, development coordinator and primary and secondary education teachers participated on the visit.
