9th Africa regional platform for disaster risk reduction- Afrp-9

SAFOD in partnership with CBM funded by BMZ will participate during the upcoming 9th Africa regional platform for disaster risk reduction (Afrp-9) conference which will take place on the 21st to the 24th of October 2024 in Windhoek, Namibia. The Afrp-9 conference will be hosted under the theme “Act Now for the Resilient Africa We Want “. It will bring together delegates from member states, regional economic communities, civil society organizations, development partners and other disaster risk reduction stakeholders to review progress, share experiences, good practices and lessons learned in implementing the Sendai framework for disaster risk reduction in Africa.  

 

During the conference, SAFOD will host a marketplace booth from the 22nd-24th of October 2024 at The Mercure Hotel, Assembly Hall in Windhoek, Namibia. The good practices and reflections, challenges and experiences of persons with disabilities identified on the ground during the implementation of the project will be shared at the booth.
